I have a Kenmore Refridgeratro Model 596.58695890. the Ice machine does not seem to be making ice. I have water coming out of the water dispenser, so I woudl assume that their is water going to the device. Also unable to find any user manual son the web. Anyone that could help with troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Feel inside the icemaker cavity, and see if there is frozen ice there. If there is not, fill the cavity with water from a glass, and see if it makes ice within 2 to 3 hours. Also does this model have a chrome arm that shuts off the ice maker, or a light that shines through the ice and shuts off the icemaker? That would be the first thing to check, to make sure the icemaker is really turned on.
