I have a few fixtures that require a 3 way and a 2 way bulb
The 3 way calls for a 100W bulb and the 2 way for a 40W bulb. The only 3 way I found is the 50-100-150 type. Can this be used due to the lower wattage used. Is it safe. And what about the 2 way bulb. I havent seen ANY 2 ways in CFL

The light output on CFL bulbs may say 100 watts, but the power consumption is only about 23 watts. You can put a 100 watt CFL in a three way socket. It will only give you light at the 100 watt level. The lamp switch will go: on - on -off - off. as you turn it.
