Our shower drain is clogged with hair and I need to remove the plastic cover to clean it out. It is 2000mm AB&A ABS drain that looks like this pic Drain (http://community.webshots.com/photo/fullsize/2027440370029131183tCpPOo). I have tried prying up in the recesses on the sides but am afraid of breaking it. Does it perhaps unscrew?

What's around the outer edge of it, plumber's putty? Try a utility knife.
