I have a DSC 5020NK System (power 864) with a DSC 5508Z Keypad in the bedroom. The word MEMORY is lit as is the number 7. This key pad beeps a SINGLE beep every 10 min. And it's keeping us up at night!
How do we get rid of this beep and what does the no. 7 mean?
Please give exact details as to what buttons to push and in what order. I'm very green at this.
Thank you so much!

Hmmm, you do need to start by websearching using the phrase "DSC PC5020 user manual"
That said:
It means that the last alarm was on zone 7. Press # to exit alarm memory display. The memory will only clear once the system is armed and disarmed once.

Thanks Mr. Ron. Hubby did as you suggested, and the memory light went off as did the lit #7. BUT....the single beep every 10 min. still persists. There is no LED screen on this, just numbers, so we are at a lose as to what the beep is trying to tell us. We'd just be happy to stop the beep to get some sleep.

Is the system/trouble light also on?
Press *2. What code is displayed? I'm guessing that you probably have a low system battery.

Ron: The main keypad 5500Z Deluxe is connected to the bedroom 5508Z (this doesn't have an LCD display, only a keypad)
The 5500Z works great. My husband hit *2 and there are no system failures. However. the bedroom 5508Z the number 7 remains lit (even after he did as you suggested earlier) and the SINGLE beep happens now every 20 min. instead of every 10min.
Also know that one of our zones (7) has a problem and he always bypasses it when setting the alarm (don't know if this has anything to do with anything, butI doubt it).
Also know that earlier, the single beep came from BOTH keypads, but he got the one on the MAIN keypad (5500Z) to stop, but when he tried the same thing on the bedroom keypad (5802Z) NOTHING worked. He even tried unplugging the wires inside the box and putting them back together. NOTHING is working.
He's pulling his hair out. We can't even find a usuers manual for the PC5508Z keypad on the internet as you suggested.
Anything else you can suggest?

--sigh--
The keypads are just an interface, you only have one system with two different keypad models (not that unusual) Your system _may_ be partitioned (two virtual system) but I doubt it (it would be a very strange residential setup).
Get the user manual for your base system, it explains indications on both keypad models.
Do you have a list of your zones? What is zone 7 (the Ouija board is onb the fritz)? Some zone types, such as fire zones, cannot be bypassed.
