i had a trane tcont803 installed about 2 months ago. it just got cold where i live and i just turned on the heat 3 days ago. the system was set up with a outside sender and set if below 40 outside just the heat coils would work (350), compressor lockout. auxiliary lockout was set at 55 (360), remote sensor set for 2 (340), system control. it is not working properly, it is set at 66 at night and 74 wake up at 5 oclock. the thing goes on at about 2 oclock and runns for hours tell after 5:30 before it shut down. this morning it was 37 outside and the same thing with the outside unit running for hours. no auxiliary heat at all showing. anyone know whats wrong. thanks mike

Just the t-stat or whole system? If whole system, what's the furnace or air handler make/model#?

I would lower 350 to 25, there is still a lot of heat in the air at 40˚.
it is set at 66 at night and 74 wake up at 5 oclock.
Wow, 74˚ is warm.. I don't run our heat any warm higher than 68˚
Anyway, heat pump are best to set it and forget it. They don't recover and will cost more to do this with a heat pump system.

Was the 37˚ on the t-stat or another thermomitor?
I don't know if Aux will show on the screen or not?
