I'm trying to install under kitchen cabinet molding which will be used in kitchen both for decorative reasons and to hide the under cabinet light strips :) What is the best/proper way to fasten it to the cabinet frame? I'm not sure how many different style moldings exist for this application, but the one I have is 3/4" thick, with an extra 1/4" lip on top which will overhang the bottom portion of the cabinet frame. It also extends back 3/4" - same width as the cabinet frame itself. I have an 18g brad nailer and was planning to shoot nails from bottom of molding and into the bottom of the cabinet face frame? Will this work? If so, what size nails should be used?

I'd opt for 1-1/2" brads, with a thin bead of wood glue along the joining edge. The brads would be used mainly to hold the trim in place until the glue sets.

"C" clamps to keep the trim lined up during the process will be a big help.
