Hi, I'm interested in any advice you generous folk might have about a predicament. I want to remove some of that old outdoor green carpet. I hear the glue is a real pain to remove. Could I just clean it and paint over it? Or would the paint not do well because of the old glue? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

You really need to remove the adhesive! It will look bad with an oil base coating and may affect the bond of a latex coating.

Getting the glue damp with paint thinner may help to loosen it some.... but elbow grease is the main ingrediant  :wall: :D
