Recently moved to a house with an existing Commander 2000 system. My wife unintentionaly activated the system to level 3, and tripped the motion detector. The system has not been monitored for nearly a year and I have no access code to turn off the alarm. I have downloaded the Installation instructions, but I can not seem to clear the memory while the alarm sounds even with Dealer & Installer default codes 4321. Disconnecting both main and backup power has not cleared the alarm either. Can I turn off the alarm and reprogram the panel locally.

I don't think that these systems had a hardware default. The only way into one of these when they are armed is via the CS4000 software (good luck finding a copy...) or possibly one of the "magic key" programming dongles.

GE Guy might know a trick I don't know, but I seem to recall that if you don't have a code, and don't have the download software, this sucker is a brick.

It's probably time for hardware made this century...

Looking for an easy DIY install to replace this dinosaur. Any chance of running the current sensors to a new panel. Suggestions? Where to shop? Thanks for your time.

All of you wireless zones should be compatible with the GE Concord series or Simon.
