I have a DSC PC1555 security system. It's wired with an indoor siren, but I wanted to extend it with an ourdoor siren. Is there such thing as a wireless outdoor siren?

Kinda yes, kinda no.

There are a few aftermarket devices like this, of varying reliability, but you still have to supply them with a power source (stand-by batteries don't really work for this type of application), and there are ways to pull it off with off the shelf parts.

Really, you are just talking about getting a two-conductor wire from the panel location to the siren location, so the price differential makes the sweat equity worth your while.

I just have no easy way of running the wire from the panel to the outside of the house. The panel is in the center of the floor so I would have to find a way to pull the wire all to the outside. Which after marked devices would you recommend if I wanted to do it wirelessly?

Ok, if this is your goal, here's the shopping list:

1 12volt relay
1 12v 1amp power supply.

You use the pgm output of the 1555 to trigger the transmitter which switches the wireless receiver to trigger power to the siren.

Great. Thanks for your help. One more question: Can I swap the 15W indoor siren with a 30W indoor siren (both DSC brands)?

Yup, the only limit is the power output available for the output.

Knock yourself out.
