Pipes rattle at any given time I was told to shut off water at main and have all the faucets turned on and left on for at least an hour, then turn the water back on and shut off the faucets one by one, however this did not work. Any ideas on what to do next?

Does this problem happen at random or when you turn a faucet off or on?

We answered our own question, went to a book store and looked up the problem.
Turn off water at the main then open all faucets (inside and outside the house also flush toilets).
Wait 15 minutes and shut off all faucets, don't forget to turn off the ones to the toilets and washing machine.
Turn on water from the main and open all faucets again. This worked! Wooooohoooo!
If this didn't help you may have to also drain the water heater.(don't forget to turn off the elec to it and before turning it back on make sure its filled)
Good Luck! Cheri Anderson
