We have a Kenmore Frontloading washer 7 years old. Model# 41741142000. It went inro spin cycle last night and kept spinning all night. Had to turn the timer knob to get it to stop. Today I am having to advance the timer knob to get it to go to the next cycle. My first guess would be to replace the: Timer n-w/9hr delay start Part # 134000800. That seems to be the obvious solution. Is there something else that could be the problem?

Acts like timer to me. Anything else would cause it not to spin.

Thank you, sometimes when I jump to the obvious solution, I end up fixing more than what is broke.
