I have a old Russwin lock set # on outside pull handel
A20890 . i have remove the handel and refinished it now i want to remove the dead bolt part where the key goes how do i do this

if it's a mortise type, under the faceplate on the edge of the door (sometimes there is no faceplate) unscrew the metal thread screw (inline with the keyhole).

Then unscrew the keyhole from the mechanism.
