Hi
I need to build a portico for the main entrance to my house. A friend of ours who is a mason is doing the work for us. An image of the same is posted below but we want the columns done in brick.

the problem is that the town where i live is asking for a detailed plan showing materials, dimensions, methods of attachment and size of landing in order to give me the permit. i prepared drawings in visio with details on the measurements and major materials used (see images below) but this apparently is not enough.

I dont want to spend the money to have an architect do this drawing. What options do I have? Is there any kind of software to do this? or a web site with plans that I could possibly tailor to fit my design?
I need to have this done before winter sets in.

Thanks

I use a program called DeltaCad. It very easy to use and inexpensive. I've done several detailed drawings with it. It's available via download from http:www.deltacad.com

Thanks. I will give it a test drive.
