I have a 6 year old Tempstar heat pump for my upstairs. Last winter, it started blowing the 5 amp fuse on the low voltage control circuit board; I disabled the auxiliary heat coils and the fuse stopped blowing. I don't have a full schematic, but do have the wiring diagram. There has to be a problem with the control board or the relay that provides power to the aux heating coils or the coils themselves. My model # is FCX2400C with P/N AMFK05CH heat coil unit. The unit ran all summer in the air conditioner mode with no problems. Has anyone experienced this type of problem with a Tempstar or similar unit? If so, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
