I have a Maytag Dryer model HDE808 which used to turn off automatically when the clothes were dry (it has an "electronic control". Now the chimes ring and the heating does not turn off nor does the motor. Since this unit does not appear to have a timer I assume that there must be some kind of sensor based on either the temperature or the humidity in the drum. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this failure?
