Most tend to report that the paintings and coatings used to disguise tubs is are not long-term durable options but rather temporary fixes. There are companies that install acrylic liners that cover over dated tubs and showers.

Incorporating existing colors of tub and tile into a color scheme can make tub and tile look at home. A rule of the thumb is to use the same or similar color to make a fixture recede or a different, contrasting color to make it stand out. Green and tan work well together. Whether tan tile is on wall or floor, choosing a similar tan can pull off a successful color scheme with green accents.

This is a better option than painting tile. You wont be happy with the results of painted tile.
