I just expanded my PC1555 panel with a wireless receiver (RF5132-433) and a wireless motion sensor (DSC WS4904P).

The panel properly supervises the wireless receiver, I enrolled the motion sensor into zone 08, set the zone type to 05 (interior stay/away) and set the wireless parameter (8) on (section 108).

When I perform the placement test (section 904) I get a "good" result (1).

I tried performing the walk test (section 901) and as I walk by the motion sensor I see the LED on the motion sensor blink (one time short and several times fast). However, I don't hear the 2-sec bell alarm which I hear when I open the front door in the walk test mode.

Does it mean that the motion sensor is working properly, or should I hear the bell as well?

Are you putting both the control _and_ the detector into walk-test mode? (by removing the motion from it's back plate and replacing it)

Remember, wireless motions have a 3 minute lockout between activations, normally to keep the battery from being exhausted in high traffic areas.

No - I put only the control in the walk test mode. Should I put the detector in the walk test mode too by removing the cover, or should I hear the bell when the control is in the walk test mode but the detector is not?

I just tried the walk test with the motion detector removed from the mounting plate. The LED blinks, but the bell doesn't go off like it should during the walk test. What can be wrong?

Look at your instructions: You take it off the base and then put it immediately back to initiate the detectors walk test mode.

Try a simpler basic test.

Arm the system, stay out of the motion detector area for 5 minutes or so, then walk around in the view zone. If you don't get an alarm trip, then you probably have something mis-programmed
