Please Help, We are having a flea epidemic here. We have lived here for 24 years & have never had a flea problem. We make sure our dogs get the best protection our Vet has to offer & for
some time now it has been Frontline plus. I know the Frontline is doing it's job for sure
because I check my dogs often with a flea comb, yet our house is still crawling with fleas! :madhell:
The only think we can think is this is due to an unusual weather pattern we have had this year. We live on 10 acres of wooded land, have an active home & spend much of our time out of doors. We think they are hitching rides with us into our home.
I have been searching the web for an answer to our problem but find it scary when it comes to insecticides. So far I am interested in the insect growth regulators but wonder if I should get that mixed with something else to deal with the adult fleas too. I found
Precor "2000 Plus Premise Spray" at:
http://www.pestmall.com/precor-2000-plus-premise-spray--precor-2000-plus-premise-sp.html
Will this be ok to use in a home with small children & pets? If not do you have any suggestions?
Thank your for your valuable time :>)

Hi Me11y,
I looked at the label of the Precor from the site you provided and it contains permethrin. You can read about it here.
http://www.safe2use.com/poisons-pesticides/pesticides/permethrin/cox-report/cox.htm
It also contains methoprene. You can read about that here.
http://www.safe2use.com/poisons-pesticides/hormone/methoprene/methoprene.htm
Maybe you would consider using something organic such as boric acid instead. :)

You might want to keep this site for future reference.

Me11y, you are very welcome! If you do go organic I'd love to know what you used and how it worked for you.

Haven't made my decision yet but I'm gonna do my best to go organic. Insecticides scare me.
I will let you know if I do. :>)
