I have an unknown trouble displayed. My LCD text keypad displays
Service req *
I press *
It displays General Sys Trouble <>
system trouble (*2) to view
I press *2
View Service Req <>
I never get any additional information. It eventually displays
Press (#) to exit.
I have tried every combination of input at each different prompt and do not get any more info than General System Trouble.
The orange (yellow) trouble light is lighted all the time.
This condition exists even after set alarm in stay or leave- then creating an alarm condition and then closing out the alarm. I have not found any problems with the system and everything seems to work OK.
The problem started after a lightening storm that killed several electronics in my house (cable box, DVD player, answering machine).
FYI: I have a full set of installation & programming manuals ( cannot find the answer there) for my system that includes 5132 wireless receiver, many wireless and wired sensors (total of 30 zones in 1 partition), a 5208 add-on (low current PGM) and a 5204(high current PGM and additional power supply add-on). I programmed the system myself.
Any ideas how to get more info on the " system trouble"?

This can be pretty nebulous:
From the installer manual:
"Light [3] - General System Trouble. This trouble will be present if the PC5204 Power Supply module has an AUX
failure, PC5204 Output #1 Trouble, or a printer connected to the PC5400 Printer module has a fault (off-line)."
On a wild guess, check the input power for the 5204 board, and the Aux power output for the board. It is possible that the transformer for this power supply got taken out. Your description doesn't sound like you are drawing a lot of standby power, so you wouldn't see any operational difference if the 5204 was crippled.
