Ive a hotpoint condenser tumble dryer which is almost 3 years old and it started tripping the mains electric this week. Its fine on the cold cycle but anything that involves the heater throws the trip switch. I know its something heater related but what?

You will need a volt, continuity meter to do any checks. You most likely have something in the heater circuit touching a medal part. Please give model # and can see what dryer you have.
