I am getting ready to install some oak stair treads. I have already cut them to fit. Stained them and I am in process of putting 5 or 6 coats of polyurathane on them.
My question is this. I am going to be nailing and gluing them down. I plan on predrilling for the nails. And then touching up the nail set with a little colored filler that comes in pencil form and a dab or polyurathane to finish up.
How does this sound and does anybody have any input that I may be misising or need to know on this? thanks ahaead of time.
