Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to make a small well-lit bathroom in an Irish or Celtic decor without renovating the bathroom. I have no color and decorateing abilities so I would greatly appreciate the attention to color schemes!

We just had the shower and floor retiled, now I have to paint and decorate the room. We will have a new shower door we have yet to pick out. We have a door with a window that leads to the backyard, as well as the interior hall door.
There is very little wall space with the exception of over the 2 towel bars and space above the toilet.
I don't want it to have a cluttered appearance since the rest of my house is already cluttered enough.

A few of my own thoughts:
1) Paint it green, but with the small size of the room, what shade should I use- there being over 1,000 shades of green!
Should all the available wall space be painted green, or should I paint 2 wall green and the other something else?
2) Thought of framing some Celtic designs like an Oogham, spirals, knots, cross, harp, ect. but not sure the of the borders, colors, frame, ect. It was hard to find affordable Celtic artwork, so thought I would print them out in black & white, then bordering and framing them that would compliment the wall paint.

Thats about it- I can't seem to get beyond the proper color that will look Irish and not gaudy.

I would appreciate any other possible celtic design possibilities very much!
Thank you to all you creative folks!

Celtic decor in your home? Carry the same green through from the other areas. If the bath is an isolated theme room (not popular today), pick a green that closest matches the green of a 4-leaf clover. We little people like our green. It's the lucky clover green.
As far as framing designs. This is a personal choice. Don't just slam some up on the wall. Take some time to know what they mean. There is no loss of Celtic bathroom accessories online. Whatever you do, do some research and make selections with taste, style, and knowledge. Do not belittle our heritage. There is no loss of history or research of Celtic heritage. Are you Celtic? Or, are you just enamoured with our heritage?
