Use a finish (stick) Nailer at an angle, till it won't fit, then if it is prefinished wood, glue down the last few rows next to the wall. If it is going to be sanded and finished, top nail and fill those last couple of rows.

Polyurethane adhesive reportedly gives the best adhesion. Some also predrill and face nail boards next to walls, countersink nails, and fill holes with matching wax crayon or putty.

PL Urethane, not PL400 or Liquid Nails, comes in a yellow caulking cartridge, found near the Liquid Nails.
