Hi, I own a Craftsman riding mower with a Kohler 2 cylinders (CV20) 20HP V-Twin engine carb. I’m having problems with, the engine revolutions goes up and down. I have clean the carb, change the spark plugs, filter and oil. I hope there is someone that can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

We used to have a rider with a Kohler engine that had a similar issue. I forget what we ended up doing to fix it, but it was either:

1). adjusting the idle speed + or - (I think +)
2). adjusting the air/fuel ratio + or - (again, I think +)
3). checking the governor spring (worn/loose) or governor linkage (adjustment to tighten?)

If the above does not help, it could also be that the carburetor is still restricted (i.e. incomplete cleaning/needs kit?)

BTW, there is a small engines forum (http://forum.doityourself.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70) here, with ppl way smarter than me when it comes to diagnosing and repairing.
