Hi everyone. I am trying to install a four button transmitter (5804) to my Ademco LYNXR system. I have the manual and the master code. I am looking to program the following for the four buttons:
1. Arm Stay Instant
2. Arm Away
3. Disarm (Off)
4. Panic
I was wondering if there are step by step instructions of how I can program and link together the key fob to the system. Thank you.

Thank you very much to everyone on this forum. I set up the key fob, and everything works!!! The only issue that I am running into is setting up the panic button. If you look on page 28 of the Ademco LYNXR manual, under *56 programming, Zone Type (b), I need to find the correct zone type to send a panic signal. Selecting 07 = 24 Hr Audible, makes the alarm go off, which is exactly what I am looking for, but it does not send the signal to the monitoring service. 09 = Fire without verify, makes the fire alarm go off, and it sends a signal, but does this mean that fire trucks are going to come and not police? 24 = Silent Burglary did not do anything. I just want to do this right.
The only other thing I was wondering about is there a way to arm the system as STAY INSTANT? Currently I have zone 20 selected which is ARM - STAY.
Once again, thank you very much for your help in advance. I could not have done this without this community!!!

What you have to remember is that each button on an ademco style keyfob is an individual zone, and each one has to have the report code turned on.
Assuming that you are using contact ID, just make sure that the report code for the zone corresponding to the panic button has something other than 00 programmed.

Exactly, and I was wondering what that something is? I can program any code I need, and I was wondering what the equivalent to Panic code is? Page 28 of the installation manual really does not have anything. For some reason Silent Burglary did not do anything.

You are confusing the zone type with the report code, they are different lines in the *56 programming.
_Any_ code other than 00 in the report code location enables the zone to report when contact ID is the selected reporting format. I usually use 11.

Is "11" Panic / Alarm? It does not say anything in the manual about that code. Thank you for your help.

It's. An. Enabling. Code.
The code means nothing. Any non-zero value in any report code field on Ademco design alarm panels enables the standard contact ID code for the ZONE TYPE programmed to be sent. It's built into the firmware. Ademco _created_ the Contact ID format. _I_ use 11 because it's easy to remember.
No, the information isn't clear in the instructions, alarm system instructions assume that the installer has been exposed to either factory training, or has access to the manufacturer's database. They _did not_ take DIY installers into account.
If you are trying to use something like 4+2, then the answer is different.

ADT just installed an ADEMCO LYNXR-EN me today and there is only one remote come with the package. I would like to add more remote but I am failed to do it. I read the whole thread but I couldn't figure out how to add a new remote 5804 into my system.
Here is what I have done:
- I went to setup mode by entering [installer code] + 8+0+0
- *56 for Enhanced Zone.
and then I just stuck overthere. Any help very appreciated.

Go to page 28 of the installation manual. Follow the instructions posted in a link earlier in a thread.
SickPup404 wrote in my case: (Zone, Zone Type, Report Code, Input Type, Loop/Button number, and key fob serial number)
30, 23, 10, 5, 1
In the manual it says: Zones 26-41 = Button zones (only)
So for instance, you can start with zone 30. So press *30, then *23, *10, *5, *1 (because you are programming button 1), then you need to enter the key fob serial which is on a sticky on the back of it, just follow the instructions. You should enter 1, and then type in the serial number...
Then you will eventually end up at zone 31. I followed his instructions:
So in my case: (Zone, Zone Type, Report Code, Input Type, Loop/Button number, and key fob serial number)
30, 23, 10, 5, 1
31, 22, 10, 5, 2
32, 21, 10, 5, 3
33, 20, 10, 5, 4
Good luck.

Thanks so much for your help. From the instruction, there are 12 steps for *56 Enhanced Zone Programming mode and the follow are what I am doing to do and there are many steps that I am not sure.
1) A 01--------------------Zone number, I will enter 30 for the first button.
2) B -------------------- Zone Type, I will enter 23 to assign the first button for "No Alarm Respond"
3) C -------------------- Report Code, I will enter 10 ( I don't understand for this number anyway).
4) D -------------------- Input Type. I will enter "5" that for Button Type.
5) E --------------------- Loop Number. I will enter "1" for the first button.
6) F ---------------------- Delete Serial Number? What should I enter?
7) 1A ---------------------- Enroll Mode? What should I enter?
8) 1B ---------------------- Serial Number. I will enter the serial for remote. Ex. "A xxx xxx" and from what you say I have to enter number 1 first then I will have to enter "1A xxx xxx". Is this correct?
9) 1C --------------------- Voice Descriptor. What do I need to enter?
10) 1D -------------------- Descriptor 1. What do I need to enter.
11) 1E -------------------- Descriptor 2. What do I need to enter.
12) 1F -------------------- Descriptor 3. What do I need to enter.
Then start from the first one for next button.
Please correct me since I am not sure what I am doing is correct.

6) You should not have to delete anything, as long as you did not write 00 in step 2) you should never go to F.
7) 1*
8) Enter the 7 digit number followed by * mine has a 7 digit number
once you enter this number, there should be an L displayed, that means that it took the number
for everything else, i just pressed * until I got to the next zone. I hope this helps. I am not an expert on this at all. If you have any questions, I recommend you contact the guy who wrote the original instructions. Hopefully he can help you.

Thanks again. I just program one remote and I think I messed up the one installed by ADT. Anyway, does anyone know how to setup for Panic button? Since I culdn't copy the last serial number for the next button so I just enter 1 on step 7 then I entered a serial number for all button setup. Unfortunately, I entered a wrong serial number on one of the buttons so when I tried to delete it by entering 9 on step 7 but nothing happen. For now I just have 2 buttons working on my new remote fob. I am still playing around.

I have the same problem. I have not figured out how to program the panic button for the alarm to go off and contact the monitoring service. So if anyone knows, please help. Code 11 does not work. The alarm system will not take it. Thanks in advance.
