My daughter called me to say that when she turned on the AC, the heating came too. She has a Gas pack on the roof, an old one. Any ideas?

It can be a few things... Did she have a new thermostat put in? Any house project/repairs? Hung something on the wall near the thermostat? Any bad storms?

If new t-stat, is it wired up right?

If any home project/repairs, wire may be shorted out by a nail or something.

If bad storm, lighting may of gotten a control/relay..
