How do I go about installing 2" slat wooden blinds in my kitchen when the sill part is about 6" deep? Might be a dumb question.....but do I install them so that the bracket is at the very back of the sill closest to the window? or does the bracket go at the very front of the sill, so that the blind would end up flush with the front?

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks.

The blinds will have to be the size of the interior of the window casing in order for them to be placed back in the opening. I would allow them to be even with the front of the casing. Your stool will probably be a little longer, but they can rest there. That make sense??

There is no wrong or right way.....it's what you like. As a former installer of blinds, I liked the flush look to the front as chandler has suggested.

Thank you both for the replies. I installed them flush with the front and they look great.

Thanks again.
