Hi All,
Unit was already in the house when i bought it... ended up locking myself out of it and no luck trying to restore/reset/recover the unit. So what part(s) are worthless and what can I salvage. Obviously I can keep the sensors, siren, battery. I've been told the motherboard is trash. What about the keypad ?
I'm going to buy another Ademco only if I can salvage the existing keypad - only because I'd like to have one in my bedroom and one next to the front door.

So can i still use the keypad ?

thanks,\
owens

You didn't say which model keypad you had. The 6128 and 6139 keypads are compatible with all current production models. You need a 6139 or 6160 alpha keypad to program the new motherboard.

Hi MrRon,
The keypad I believe is a 6160V, installed by ADT.
So would it be possible to buy a new Ademco system/motherboard like the V20P(comes with keypad) and then add the 6160V kepad ?

Yup, that keypad works just fine with any current prodution Honeywell/Ademco Vista panel.
