Hi,
my bedroom has cedar ceiling and floors are oak. The room is big and ceiling is high. I do not know what color would fit with the ceiling and floor. Right now it is white but looks cold and faceless. I would like it to be romantic and warm. I do not have any furniture yet (except bed).. so I can be flexible with color.
I was thinking to pick from following colors that I would like (as general colors for furniture, curtains, nick -nack etc): white, beige, gold, dark brown, burgundy red.
I tried our blanket beige one side and darker brown to hang on a wall to try if I would like it, but I did not like. So I have no clue what color and shade it should be.
Please, if you have any advice for me, I would be very thankful.
Katie

PS. I do have a picture of the room. Would it help if I could send this?

Hey, I just painted my bedroom. I have a 14' vaulted cedar ceiling and ash hardwood floors. My boyfriend had it painted "Burnt Shrimp" which is a deep orange and that wasn't too bad. I just finished repainting it all dark green and it's BEAUTIFUL! Don't know the color name, but it changes as the light hits it throughout the day. It's a warm deep green with a hint of blue.
The key to choosing the right color is simple. Get those paint color samples that are like stickey notes at the hardware store. I got all different colors and all different shades and stuck em' all over one wall and just begin eliminating. We looked at them for a week or so and found this color. Good luck!
