I have a Maytag Performa electric dryer (Model# PYET344AYW, Serial #15245730GL)that will not run. There is power to the outlet and there is power to the point where the power cord attaches to the dryer (240V). However, nothing works. The drum wont spin, the heat wont ignite, the lights wont burn. It sounded like the timer was running (ticking) but I wouldn't swear to that.
Any ideas? Love to fix and not replace.
Thanks

UNPLUG DRYER FIRST
Open top 2 spring clips in front (use putty knife between top and front and push clip back while lifting top) Look in back You will see heater on right side down about 3 inches is a thermo fuse. Check for a complete circuit through fuse if not there is a kit to replace fuse and thermostat.
