I have a Lennox heat pump. Recently we had coils replaced because the unit wasn't cooling. Ever since then there has a been a high pitched noise coming from the unit when it is in cooling mode. My husband can't even hear it because it is so high pitched. We have had numerous visits from technicians and just today had a valve (TXV) on the outside replaced, the tech was convinced this was the problem. Of course, after he left the noise was back. They say there is no freon leak but this noise sounds to me as though air is being forced through a very small hole. it is that kind of noise. Any suggestions?
