I had a Dremel with a bunch of cut off wheel and other stuff like that, mostly 1/8" shaft. I never really used the Dremel much, but while using it this weekend I burnt it out.

My friend is willing to give me one of his Rotozips since it will heelp with an upcoming project. I was wondering if I could safely use the Dremel parts with the Rotozip?

If they fit--use e'm.
Depending on the rotozip model & project you are doing--you
may find it more clumbersum than Dremel tool.
Have fun................. :)

You might want to compare the RPM's of the two tools. If the Zip runs appreciably faster than the dremel, The cut off wheel could fly apart.

Agree with Goldstar on the rpm. Don't use the paper thin cut off wheels on a faster machine, and make sure you use well centered wheels, as an imbalanced one will make for a bad cut and can shake the thing apart. If it has a variable speed, always start off slow, anyway.

Alright, thanks for the help!

Chances are that I won't be using any of the Dremel stuff, I haven't used it in the last 10 years.

Well, donate the parts and case (even the tool) to habitat Re-Store if you have one. Unless yer gonna buy another one.

Kan't find better than Dremel for finishing & polishing gun parts.
Kids gave me Rotozip-don't have much use for it....................

I gave all my Glocks the 25cent trigger job by hand.

Now you have a smooth 5 # trigger pull--or did you reduce it?
I carry a Glock 26 every day--5# still makes me nervous

Smoother, same with the AR-15's. I don't have a guage or scale to tell if I reduced the pull weight or not.

Yeah, unfortunately LEO's seem to have the worst discipline and shooting skills of all the people I shoot with.

An easy to pass qualification held once or twice a year is the only requirement, which is pretty lame IMO. If using a firearm in public is part of your job, you should be required to train with it. What can you do...

Why do all my threads turn into Guntalk? :) :blah:
