i have a friend who got a used JD stx38 mower and one axle has come out of the trans axle. is this a hard thing to fix and do you have any ideas?

Many models of the 4360, need num after dash;

there are retaining rings on end of axle inside, usually axle will come out if someone tries to remove a stuck wheel with much force.
need to remove and split case to remove old ring and install new one.
Altho diff manufacture, download this manual to get idea of service.
