Hi all,
I'm about to lay some new carpet an I have a piece that is 1 & 1/2 inches short in one direction. Can I stretch it that far & if not what is the best remedie? Seaming in a tiny piece? or flipping the direction & seaming? The room is 16' X 12' 1.5". The carpet is a poly ferber (looser weave).
Thanx for any input!:help:

You can get 1.5 to 2 inches of stretch widthwise with a powerstretcher. But it is not going to be easy working with such a small amount of carpet. If all you have is a kicker, there is no way to get that much.
I would prefer to flip the room and have my seam than wrestle with that.
