I'm looking at installing a new system this fall or winter, and am trying to determine my best choices.
Brand is not an issue but I'm leaning toward Goodman for $$ and warranty. House is all electric.
1) Regular A/C or heat pump? Mild Houston winters push me toward heat pump but I'm told they just "feel" different.
2) Variable speed fan? Are they truly variable or just 3 speed? Are they worth the extra cost?
3) Whole house de-humidifier add-on? Worth the $$, even in humid Houston?

Heatpump YES worth the money!!!! Two stage with VB blower and you will be able to get rid of the dehumidifier.
