My fan in my airhandler doesn't work all the time in auto, but works great in fan on. It's a GNC heat pump

I can't think of anything that would cause that except a problem with the thermostat the air handler would not know the difference between fan on and an automatic call for fan

You have a control failure when you touch red to green you bypassed the fan function of your thermostat. You either have a bad stat or a broken or loose wire.

I replaced the thermostat and the wire and it worked fine for about 12 hours and then outside unit kick on and airhandler fan would not . Got up at 6 am and put it to on and fan turned on. I'm missing something ?

I am wondering if it's your control board.
What is the model # of your furnace or air handler unit?

No, it's something in the air handler that may be the problem..
What is the model # of the air handler/furnace you have, and we can try to look up what you may have a control board or relays.

I am unable to pull anything up on this model. Must be an older model.
