Have a 27" Philips TV only about 4 years old that keeps blowing the internal fuse. Anything simple to look at or should I go to the shop or actually throw it out...only cost $ 150.00 new!!! Thanks for any help

Before you take it to the shop, consider that you can often find a good selection of used 27" TV's pretty cheap, for example $50-$75 on places like Craig's List. You probably won't be able to get your set repaired that cheaply. Lots of folks are buying up the new flat panel TV's and selling off their older CRT TV's dirt cheap.

Its blowing fuses for a reason...there's an internal problem that will take some troubleshooting. I'll let one of the TV service experts chime in here if you're wanting to pursue the service-it-yourself angle.

Good luck!
