I have a thermadore RDDS30VRS drpo in duel fuel. One of the XLO burners shuts off after it heats up - after about 2-3 minutes of usage. The burner will start again once it has cooled down. I have removed the top and checked all the connections to the simmer controller and all seems fine. Do I need to replace the simmer controller, or could there be something else wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you will find that's how it works.

The burner in question shuts off and does not come back on. The igniter sparks continuously, but the burner does not light. After a half hour or so, the burner will work normally for a bit and then shut off again. Definitely not normal operation.

Sorry I misread your post. Try lighting with a match. If that works it seems to be an ignition problem with the burner not electronics.
I have what i suppose is the same range in a home in oregon. So i can't verify it is the same. Although it does have same burner which is designed to cycle. Ours works as intended, cycling on/off to maintain temp.

The ignitor works fine. The gas shuts off and does not flow agin until the burner cools down.
