I want to change my Deed name from my mothers to mine
my mother is firdt and I am second on the Deed. I am about to get a line of credit and pay the house off but I need to know how to take my mothers name off and just have my name on this way there will be no leins on it from her. How do I go about doing this?

Leins are made on the property for ultimate collection if they are paid off. It makes no difference whose name is on the deed to the property. Any sale or transfer of the property can be stopped if the lein holder is not paid off.

A quit claim deed will transfer the property from your mother to you, providing she signs it over and as noted above any liens on the property are satisfied. if any liens were to somehow make it thru the tittle tansfer without being saatisfied, they would follow th property and you would probably be responsible for them.
