Just recently added the 4219 expansion module as I need to add glass break to system and was maxed out. What's the recommended programming to enable? I am using the DSC AC100 for my glass break, wiring to the first pair on the 4219 using address 11 (only one I can find that wouldn't shut down my keypads). Been through *56 codes, but get a 111 error after programming what I believe are the appropriate settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Vista Plus is the name of the series. Which specific model do you have Vista 20p? 15P? 10P?. The answer will vary because the different models have different capabilities.

sorry, maybe I'm off here, but assuming its the 20p. It's the ADT version, 3000EN. thanks

Yup, it's a slightly modified Vista 20p. Websearch for that manual, and your life will be a bit easier.

Assuming that your system is all hard wired with no wireless devices the available addresses will be 07, 08, 09, 10, & 11 (see table on page 2-5 of the installer manual) Each of those addresses enables a block of 8 zones from 9 to 48.

If you have wireless, you have to use the address that puts you above the highest available wireless zone number.

Another source for a trouble code with these boards is a tamper switch that has to either be disabled via the jumper on the board, or by the board being in it's enclosure with the cover in place.

Have the manual and the tamper switch disabled. Is there a trick in getting the expander opened up? When I program zone 49 (assuming that is the appropriate one given the address of 11), I'm getting an error as if the zone expander is not present.

Zones 41-48 are for address 11. Zones 49-65 are keyfob zones.

Ok, verified, was wrong on 4219 being addressed at 4, was 3. So based on that logic, should be programming 33 as the glass break is wired to first pair. Programmed with the following:

Zone 33:
Zone Type - 03 Perimeter
Partition 1
Report Code 1st 01 2nd 00 10
Input Type 2 Aux Wire (assume this as all others are RF)

After programming, still getting the faults. Anything else I'm missing?

What terminals on the glass break detector are you using? NC NO C T + -???

What size resistor are you using? In series or parallel?

C and NC using 1000 ohms in series

Looks like your addressing may be off.

zone expanders should be addresses as follows:

Expander 1 address 07 (zones 09-16)
Expander 2 address 08 (zones 17-24)
Expander 3 address 09 (zones 25-32)
Expander 4 address 10 (zones 33-40)
Expander 5 address 11 (zones 41-48)

You need to be using address 10 for your setup.

ok, got the addressing worked out and programming. now question on the sensor. When I put the sensor in test mode, I see that it detects (via red led light on sensor) the sounds i make to simulate glass breaking. When jumper removed, those same sounds I made no longer light up sensor. I guess, I'm to trust that it will work fine based on previous test?
