We have a Vista-10P system and it is set on Instant. We need to change to delay entry. Has anyone ever done this task.

Generally, there is one or more openings (normally the door(s) closest to the keypad(s)) that are programmed as the delay entry points. If you arm the system in away mode, you get the delay.


Could you mean that you have a single zone that is currently an instant zone that you want to change to a delay zone?

Both doors are currently set for instant. Since we will be having realtors showing the house, they need some time to get to the pad and disarm. Can't see in manual how to change to delay since both entry points are instant.

You will need an alpha keypad to make the changes in zone programming

I have called the Alarm Company. Should have known it wouldn't be easy. Guess it will cost some $$$$

It's not a tough fix, but you need to be able to enter programming with an alphanumeric keypad.

Ask your alarm company if they can change this by remote download, it may save you some money.
