During the Great Blackout of 2005 (Anyone on the East Coast of North America will remember this one), our alarm system lost all power, and as a result, we've been living with an alarm that squawks the siren once for every arming and disarming of the system via the keypad.

Previous to this, the system would politely beep once the system was armed, and the siren would only come on if the system wasn't disarmed.
How do I restore the system to this point? That is, how do I stop the alarm from squawking every time I arm and disarm it?

Do I need to reset the system time? Or do I need to take the system out of the 24 Hour Bell Loop, as listed in the manual?

HELP!

No, somehow the "bell squawk" feature got turned on.

If you have access to programming, you have to turn off option 3 in programming section 13.

PC1500RK is the keypad model, you either have a PC1500 or PC1550 system (most likely the latter).
