my maytag gas range (advance cooking system) has a lifted gap/space between the burner (where the tiny holes are) and where it is normally seating/resting. so if i turn on the right-front side of the burner it is emitting flame in between the burner and the lifted gap/space where it is normally seating/resting. i tried to push the burner down to it place but there is still flame coming out form its tiny lifted gap/space. all the three remaining burners works fine. is it still safe to use. pls help me how to fix the problem. thank you.

There is likely little tabs that have to be lined up just right in order for the cap to seat properly. If they don't line up, this is what happens.
