Hi, we had this system installed 1 1/2 years ago. When our monitoring agreement stopped 6 months ago, we went ahead and cancelled. (I was the only person setting the alarm and the only person who would remember the codes).

We own a tool company and keep a large inventory in our garage. Living in AZ, I must have the garage open during the day while I work because of the heat. Because of this, I have a "zone" annoucer that tells me when doors open, people come into the driveway, etc. I want to keep that feature even without monitoring.

OK, so the issue. I first need the unit to understand that I do not care that it is not communicating with the alarm company. Can I disable that without disabling the annoucements? Secondly, my clock is 3 hours off. The alarm company could not figure out why. When I try to set it, it never seems to work. Just thought I would throw it out there, but it has not worked since day one so.....

I appreciate any help you can give me.

PS

Also getting a low battery for the family room. I bypassed it because of the fact that it is not part of the announcements so I really didn't want to pay to replace it.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Could be alot of things: case tamper, low battery or ECP failure. Do you have anything connected to the bus? Alarmnet, aux keypad?

Make sure the case is snapped down good, then enter code+1 twice in a row.

I entered [code] 1 [code] 1 and it brought my zone 5 out of bypass mode. As soon as I went to bypass again (used my 4 digit security code + [bypass] + 05) it faulted to 103 again.

Thought the info might be useful.

By the way, what does the code 1 repeat do?

THX

Fault 103 is the Alarmnet cellular unit (also listed as "long range radio". I'm guessing that you have one of the old AMPS 7845 cell dialers, and the local provider has finally shut down the signal for good, so the unit has gone into failure mode.

You need to websearch using the phrase "Lynxr installer manual".

You will have to physically disconnect the radio from the Lynxr system, because it is telling the panel that there is a problem.

Your user code + 1 is the Ademco standard for resetting any system trouble or fault. They do not automatically clear (re: your user manual).

As far as the transmitter showing low battery, go to your home center, wal-mart, radio shack, etc and simply get a new battery, they cost about 3-5 dollars.
