I have an older gas dryer from Maytag, model # LDG7600AAL.
Just yesterday it continued to tumble, but when I continued to check, the clothes were cold and relatively damp. There is no heat. I've been looking online at possible problems and checking my machine to see what still is working. It looks like I still have the bulb below glowing intermittently, but I'm not sure if any gas is being ignited or not. Should I SEE the flame? I'm obviously pretty novice and don't know that I won't have to call someone, but I'd like to try first to save some money if I can figure this out. Anyone have any ideas?

Several different things to check. First do you have a Continuity meter or multi meter? You will need one to do the checks. Open consul and there is a wire diagram there. Thermostats, thermo fuse, ignitor, flame sensor all have a complete circuit, Gas coils have a different resistance reading that should be on diagram.
