I understand that the GE Concord 4 needs an alpha keypad in order to program the system. I don't see any keypad on the Simon XT, from technical description of product, the Simon XT is voice controlled, is this true? no ability to enter zone codes when programming?

You can use a Fixed English display keypad to program phone numbers, account numbers, and sensors..

Most opt for an LCD keypad that allows you to program everything...

The XT has the keypad integrated into the main unit. No it is not "voice controlled"...it talks. So can Concord if you add the correct module.

Might want to look into getting some manuals for both products...

Thanks GEGuy, I looked some more into this, and downloaded the manuals. They look complicated to program!

XT is way easy...

Concord a little harder...

( I have a video of a chimp programming a Simon!)
