I have a RadioShack Wireless Alarm System (SafeHouse on base unit) installed 8-9 yrs ago by previous homeowner. Owner's manual shows cat. no. 49-2011 (490-2011 on RadioShack website). System has base unit; 9-volt battery-powered door/window transmitters & magnetic switch sensors (cat. no. 49-2015, 490-2015 on RShack website); and motion sensor. Transmitters connect to normally closed magnetic switch sensors that have two parts--the switch & the magnet, each encased in plastic and mounted on the door frame (switch) and the edge of the door (magnet). Transmitter connects to sensor switch via wire (cat. no. 278-862). There are five zones protected by the transmitter/sensors and two exterior light sensors. The system worked fine until my puppy pulled off & chewed up two of the magnetic switch sensors--both the switches with the wire that connects to the transmitter and the magnets that control the switch. The transmitters are undamaged (tho the wire now needs replacing), but I need to find replacement magnetic-switch sensors, and extra wire as well. I checked RadioShack website, RadioShack stores, Home Depot, Rexell Electric, & elsewhere & can't find any replacement sensors. Can you help me locate replacement magnetic switch sensors, either the same type or something compatible with my system. I would be willing to purchase transmitters with them if that's the only way to obtain the magnetic switch sensors. Thanks so much for your help.

There's nothing special about the switches. They are standard magnetic reed switch contacts. Any alarm supplier will stock them.

Websearch using the phrase "alarm contacts".

I have a similar alarm system. Look at:

as a possible replacement.
