Hey Guys,
Anyone with specific knowledge of how to take apart a Sony remote model RM-Y195?

I've taken the only visible screw out of the battery compartment, but that only allows the bottom portion to separate a fraction.
I've tried using dental tools to separate the 2 halves of the upper portion, but it almost seems like they are glued. I know they probably aren't, but....

I'd prefer not to break it apart or really screw up the faceplate by peeling off the decal to look for other screws. Don't mind trimming the decal a bit to access hidden screws.

The only issue is that this is my garage TV remote and it has accumulated crud. Some of the buttons don't function, so I'd like to take it apart and clean the rubber and contacts.

I know I could use a universal, but I'll probably use some fuctions. This is my Aux computer monitor for videos, Internet TV and such also.

Thx
Vic

The two half just snap together.I use a small flat blade screw driver to pry the snaps apart.

Craftsman Thanks Buddy!!
You were right on..I just didn't want to force it w/o knowing!!

Cracked it at one tab, but thats no biggie!

Warm soap and water and alcohol swabs on the contacts?
