is it possible too swap an electric engine for a gas engine

Take out the gas and install an electric? Obviously they're two different power systems. In application you would also have differences in the drive train away from the power source - to a point.

I'm sure it would be fairly involved, requiring a number of components be changed. What vehicle are you looking at doing this on?
