I'm hoping someone can help me.

We've just moved into our new home that already had this security system installed. We just went through Hurricane Ike. The panel is displaying "FC" and I can't seem to figure out how to reset it so that the doors will "beep" again. It is not a monitored system.

I have the User Guide - but it doesn't seem to be very helpful!

I would greatly appreciate any assistance!!!!

Hang in there! The panel is trying to call central station, and cannot. It's a communications error. Let me see if I can get the procedure to clear the phone #'s in the panel.

If you have a Alpha-numeric keypad (6160), do the following:

Enter Program Mode; Installers Code (4112) + 8 + 0 + 0

Press *40*

Press *41*

Press *42*

Press *43*

Press *44*

Press *45*

Then press '00' to exit.

That's press *99 to exit. 00 exits zone programming.

If the system was monitored in the past, theres a good
chance the installer code has been altered. Good advice
for her is to enter code + 1. Than enter code + 9 to
start making the doors beep again. If the installer
code has been changed, she should try powering
the system down, than power it up and press the
* and # together. Than enter *41, etc, etc, etc.
Or lastly, contact a local alarm company to start monitoring
the system and clear all the troubles on the keypad.
